📦 Trade-in Process
It's simple! Select your device, answer a few questions about its condition, and get an instant quote. If you accept, we'll email you a prepaid shipping label. Ship your device for free, and once we verify it matches your description, you'll receive payment within 3-5 business days via your chosen method (PayPal, debit card, direct deposit, or check).
Your quote is locked for 30 days from the date you accept it. This gives you plenty of time to back up your data, erase your device, and ship it to us. As long as we receive your device within 30 days and it matches your description, you'll get the quoted price.
If our inspection reveals the device is in different condition than described, we'll send you a revised offer. You have 10 days to accept or decline. If you decline, we'll return your device free of charge. If you don't respond within 10 days, we'll return your device.

By accessing or using Stopoint's website and services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services. Stopoint LLC ("Stopoint," "we," "us," or "our") reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility
To use our Services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- Be the legal owner of any device you sell to us
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
3. Trade-In Process
3.1 Getting a Quote
You can receive an instant quote by providing accurate information about your device, including make, model, storage capacity, carrier, and condition. The quote is an estimate based on the information you provide.
3.2 Quote Validity
Your quote is valid for 30 days from the date you accept it. You must ship your device within this period to receive the quoted price, provided the device matches your description.
3.3 Shipping Your Device
After accepting a quote, we will provide a prepaid shipping label. You are responsible for packaging your device securely. We recommend using the original box or a padded envelope. Risk of loss remains with you until the device is received by Stopoint.
3.4 Device Inspection
Upon receipt, we will inspect your device to verify it matches your description. Inspection typically takes 1-2 business days. If the device matches your description, we will process payment. If the device differs from your description, we will provide a revised offer.
3.5 Revised Offers
If inspection reveals your device is in different condition than described, we will email you a revised offer. You have 10 days to accept or decline. If you decline, we will return your device free of charge. If you do not respond within 10 days, we will return your device.
4. Payment
Upon acceptance of your device (original or revised offer), payment will be processed within 3-5 business days via your selected payment method:
- PayPal: Instant transfer to your PayPal account
- Check: Mailed within 5-10 business days
You are responsible for providing accurate payment information. Stopoint is not responsible for payments sent to incorrect accounts due to errors in information you provided.
5. Device Requirements
Before shipping your device, you must:
- Back up all personal data
- Sign out of all accounts (Apple ID, Google, Samsung, etc.)
- Disable Find My iPhone/Device or any activation locks
- Perform a factory reset (erase all content and settings)
- Remove your SIM card
- Remove any cases, screen protectors, or accessories
- Ensure the device is fully paid off and not financed, leased, or blacklisted
Important: Devices with Find My iPhone/Device enabled or activation locks cannot be processed and will be returned at your expense.
Important: Financed or blacklisted phones are not eligible for trade-in. If received, we will contact you to arrange a return at your expense. Devices with outstanding payment plans, lease agreements, or carrier blacklist status cannot be processed.
6. Ownership and Legal Compliance
By selling a device to Stopoint, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the legal owner of the device or authorized to sell it
- The device is not lost, stolen, or fraudulent
- The device is free from liens, encumbrances, or outstanding financial obligations
- The device is not currently financed, leased, or under a payment plan
- The device is not blacklisted or flagged by any carrier
- The device is not under contract with a carrier that prohibits sale
- Selling the device does not violate any laws or third-party rights
Stopoint uses verification services to check devices against databases of lost, stolen, financed, and blacklisted devices. Devices flagged as lost, stolen, financed, or blacklisted will not be purchased.
Return Policy for Ineligible Devices: If we receive a device that is financed, blacklisted, or otherwise ineligible for trade-in, we will contact you to arrange a return. You will be responsible for providing a prepaid shipping label to have the device returned to you. Stopoint is not responsible for any costs associated with returning ineligible devices.
7. Transfer of Ownership
Title to the device transfers to Stopoint upon our acceptance of the device (either at the original quote or revised offer). Once title transfers, you release all claims to the device, including any data stored on it.
8. Data and Privacy
Stopoint is committed to protecting your privacy. All devices undergo a certified data wiping process. However, you are responsible for removing your personal data before shipping. Stopoint is not liable for any data not erased by you. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.
9. Promotions and Price Lock
Stopoint may offer promotional programs, including extended price locks. Promotions have specific terms and limitations. Stopoint reserves the right to modify or cancel promotions at any time. If market prices decline by more than 30% during a price lock period, Stopoint may recalculate your offer.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STOPOINT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID TO YOU FOR YOUR DEVICE.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stopoint, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or our Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive your right to participate in class actions. You may opt out of arbitration by notifying us in writing within 30 days of accepting these Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Device Verification Process
Stopoint is committed to preventing the sale of stolen devices and protecting both buyers and sellers. Every device we receive goes through our comprehensive verification process.
Our 4-Step Verification Process
IMEI/Serial Number Verification
Every device is checked against national and international databases of lost and stolen electronics, including GSMA's global blacklist database.
Carrier Blacklist Check
We verify that the device is not blacklisted or reported as lost/stolen by any wireless carrier. Blacklisted devices cannot be activated on most networks.
Activation Lock Status
For Apple devices, we check iCloud Activation Lock status. For Android, we verify Google FRP lock. Devices must be properly signed out before we can purchase them.
Finance/Lease Verification
We check if the device is still under a financing agreement or lease. Devices with outstanding balances may be returned or have reduced payouts.
